Newtown Creek Site Visit Photos 1 - Roots Community Garden
Team 8 members Adanfa, Janet and Taylor endured the bitter artic cold of Long Island City in December to document your site. We were joined by special guest Noah Kaufman, a DDC Design Project Manager and founder and current Chairman of the Roots Community Garden. Noah provide an extensive history of the area and provided a plethora of information regarding natural habitats, horticulture, the industrial revolution impacts in the area, and guerrila gardening.
